Former Italy forward Canluca Vialli has died.


The ex-footballer of Sampdoria, Juventus, Chelsea and Cremonese died at the age of 58. He has been battling pancreatic cancer since 2017.


In mid-December 2022, Vialli became head of the Italian national team delegation, declaring: The goal is to direct all efforts to fight the disease.


Vialli won Euro 2020 with Italy. As a player, he won bronze at Euro 1988 and bronze at the 1990 World Cup.


At Sampdoria, Vialli won 6 trophies, including the Italian Championship and the Cup Winners` Cup. With Juve he won 5 trophies, including the Champions League and UEFA Cup. At Chelsea he won 4 trophies, including the UEFA Super Cup.


Canluca coached Chelsea and Watford. With the Londoners he won 5 trophies.
